Working 9 to 5... Actually 8 to 5

Hopefully you understood the Dolly Parton reference in the title. If you're unaware... Please, refer to the video below:

I am so excited to be a part of the work force again. I'm currently working for an engineering company that does every type of engineering you can imagine. You need it, we do it.

This is the view from my desk. I'm kinda bummed that I don't have any windows but I will take amazing company, and amazing coworks over some sunlight.

Happy Birthday, G-Unit

Today is my G-Unit's (Grandma) birthday! Not only is she still gorgeous she's as quick-witted as ever. We celebrated by going to the Mall at Millenia, window staring at a bunch of things we couldn't afford (Louis Vuitton, Chanel, you know the stores) and hunting TIRELESSLY for a Breast Cancer awareness charm. Apparently, not many stores carry them until October when it is actually Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We finally had success at Brighton.

Happy Birthday, G-Unit.
You're a treasure to us all!!

Is that a good looking trifecta of ladies, or what??

Feliz Cinco de Graduation

One of my best friends in the world graduated today! What better day to celebrate it on then Cinco de Mayo. A day when all other ethnicities pretend to be Mexican and drink insane amounts of tequila to be historically inaccurate and possibly offensive... but the tequila eases the pain. Jess' parents took us to beautiful and delicious Antonio's for a wonderful, tear-jerking celebration. Once the parents went to bed it was time for us to head downtown!

The lovely ladies waiting to get the party started.

A little sexy shoe action

Nothing says, "Happy Graduation, you worked your butt off," like peel and stick moustaches and light up maracas.

Long Time, No See

I know, I know, I know... I'm the worst at this...EVER...in the history of blogging. A lot has happened since I was last here. We moved, I lost my job, found my "dream job", realized it wasn't my dream job, became unemployed AGAIN, and have recently been RE-employed with an amazing engineering firm. Good things come to those who wait, my friends. We are now in the home stretch to the wedding. 5 MONTHS!!

Now that everything has started to settle down and I'm pulling myself out of my- I'm-26-broke-poor me- not using my degree-have no job- funk I've decided to pick up where I left off. Just fast forward 5 months and 150 (+ or -) pictures.

Great Day!

What an AMAZING morning I had (minus waking up at 5:45am on a Saturday). Today I was volunteering for the Special Olympics at Disney's Wide World of Sports. With iced vanilla coffee in hand I headed down to Disney. I got there before the sun came up and got to meet some of the other great volunteers. Before we were sent to our field I got to snap this photo of the sun rising at the main baseball field.

I got to meet a lot of fantastic special needs people today. They tried their hardest out on the softball field whether it was base-running, batting, or fielding they gave their all.
After leaving Disney I went home to scoop up Keagan and Austin. We headed 20 minutes east to meet up with some of my mother's friends for a "friendly" game of kickball... There was a great turn out of people. There was music, bbq food, and of course kickball.

Happy Friday

TGIF!! It's always great to see Friday. This weekend Keagan and I are babysitting preteen-sitting for Keagan's friends, Steve and Brittany. Their 11 year old son, Austin, will be staying with us until Sunday. Preteen-sitting is actually better than babysitting because preteens are self-sufficient. This MUST be where the term sitting comes from...the boys haven't left the couch since the PS2 started...

Getting Friendly at the Confines

We are finally in the homestretch towards the weekend. Friday is almost here and everyone can taste it. Keagan and I decided to head up to Friendly Confines. A sporting establishment where they have awesome waffle fries and a flat screens galore. Our friends, Jessica and Ray, met us up there and we had a great time chatting and watching FSU put a whooping on BCU.

They should honestly mention something about the waffle fries on the sign...
Even Royce got to come!!

My friend, Jessica, you might remember her from the Halloween Downtown post as Goth Girl.

And, of course, the ever lovely Keagan.
