Great Day!

What an AMAZING morning I had (minus waking up at 5:45am on a Saturday). Today I was volunteering for the Special Olympics at Disney's Wide World of Sports. With iced vanilla coffee in hand I headed down to Disney. I got there before the sun came up and got to meet some of the other great volunteers. Before we were sent to our field I got to snap this photo of the sun rising at the main baseball field.

I got to meet a lot of fantastic special needs people today. They tried their hardest out on the softball field whether it was base-running, batting, or fielding they gave their all.
After leaving Disney I went home to scoop up Keagan and Austin. We headed 20 minutes east to meet up with some of my mother's friends for a "friendly" game of kickball... There was a great turn out of people. There was music, bbq food, and of course kickball.

Happy Friday

TGIF!! It's always great to see Friday. This weekend Keagan and I are babysitting preteen-sitting for Keagan's friends, Steve and Brittany. Their 11 year old son, Austin, will be staying with us until Sunday. Preteen-sitting is actually better than babysitting because preteens are self-sufficient. This MUST be where the term sitting comes from...the boys haven't left the couch since the PS2 started...

Getting Friendly at the Confines

We are finally in the homestretch towards the weekend. Friday is almost here and everyone can taste it. Keagan and I decided to head up to Friendly Confines. A sporting establishment where they have awesome waffle fries and a flat screens galore. Our friends, Jessica and Ray, met us up there and we had a great time chatting and watching FSU put a whooping on BCU.

They should honestly mention something about the waffle fries on the sign...
Even Royce got to come!!

My friend, Jessica, you might remember her from the Halloween Downtown post as Goth Girl.

And, of course, the ever lovely Keagan.

These are my confessions

I definitely forgot to take a photo for today...AGAIN. Once I made this realization I was secretly hoping the dog would have a another"first" that I could snap a photo of and post but, alas, he did not and I'm forced to use a stock photo of the Olive Garden....It was delicious....There were leftovers for lunch.

Taste of Apopka

Every year the city of Apopka sets up a huge event called Taste of Apopka. A bunch of the smaller owned businesses of Apopka gather at one location and set up booths showcasing food, drinks, and services. This year my mom's company Centurylink hosted the event in their main lobby. The food was great and there were tons of people that attended.

Keagan throroughly enjoyed the treats and treasures that Apopka had to offer

Memory Lane

My Aunt has been on this new kick of sending me old pictures of the family. At any given point through out the day my aunt will have sent me pictures of me ranging in age from 1 to 5 years old. On this day she sent me my grandparent's wedding photo from the 1950's... They both look so happy and young. My grandma was a bit of rebel back then. Instead of a traditional white wedding dress she opted for a burgundy dress with a matching hat.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

Living in condo doesn't make for a great trick-or-treating experience. Why you ask? I'm not quite clear on the details but we've never gotten a trick-or-treater the three years we've lived here. For the last two years I've gone to my friend, Allison's, parent's house. Their neighborhood is the stuff that trick-or-treaters dream of! Each house decorates their yards, hands out candy, and there's a hay ride (and by hay ride I mean a trailer being towed behind a golf cart). This was Keagan's first year handing out Halloween snacks to the kids and we had A LOT of visitors. I'll the photo speak for itself...

Cleaned out!

3 Days in and I already forgot a photo

In all honesty I forgot to take a photo for this date. At 11:00pm I was laying in bed watching Housewives of Beverly Hills (no judgements, please) and realized that I had completely forgetting to take a picture. Then, as soon as the words crossed my mind, Royce got sick in our bedroom. Granted this post is disgusting BUT this was Royce's first time getting sick-ever. It needed to be documented and I needed a photo. With all that said....
Look at the most pitiful puppy look on his face. NO MORE RAWHIDE BONES!!!

Halloween Downtown

Halloween falls on a Monday this year so we are celebrating on Saturday. My group of friends and I have decided to go downtown. It's our normal hang out for Halloween. Everybody dresses up and they closes down the main avenue. It's great getting to see everyone's costumes and having to guess who some people are.

Hello Kitty, Greasers, Creepy Man, Goth Chick, and Matt is having a party in his Pants

Pussy Cats and Pumpkins

Happy Pre-Halloween and Happy Friday!! Today was my work's Halloween party. These ears have served me well three years in a row... I haven't decided if they're cat ears or mouse ears. Animal is in the eye of the beholder.

Royce picked me the perfect pumkin
At the risk of sounding gross... The insides are my favorite part :o)

TADA!! In honor of Royce picking the pumpkin I made a howling wolf. Don't worry, I'm not that talented. I used a pattern.

Let's Get Started...

I have decided to start a blog. I'm a little bit nervous about the whole process- posting my life for all to see but there seems to be something very therapeutic about expressing yourself. This blog is going to be mostly photo themed. I'm getting married October 27, 2012 to my best friend and partner in crime, Keagan. I grew up in a very matriarchial family where the women and opinions are strong. I was always told that "You can never count on anyone but youself" and "You don't NEED a man"... and while I don't need a man Keagan is the peanut butter to my jelly, the macaroni to my cheese, and any other food pairing reference you'd care to add.

I've heard that the year leading up to our wedding will fly by. In order to savor every wonderful and not so wonderful moment of this next year I've started this blog. 365 days, 365 pictures, 1 Walk down the aisle. ENJOY!

At this exact moment a year from now I will be walking down the aisle. It's amazing and scary to think of all that's going to happen within the next year. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I'm hoping to.
