Welcome to the WHAT A DAY  blog.

Hey there! My name is Devin and I've been trying to start blogging since 2010. My son, Dean, was born in 2013 and because our lives are getting busier and busier I feel the need to slow down, write about, and appreciate this amazing time. 

 

I married the love of my life in 2013 as well... We've been together for nine years and we're still going strong! We lovingly call it our "Hippie Wedding". My dress was from ROSS and we only invited 20 family members. 

 

Guess what else happened in 2013?? We bought our first house. This love shack was built in 1958 and hasn't been remodeled since the 70's - I'm pretty sure our dishwasher is an artifact. 

 As if 2013 didn't throw us enough, my father passed away January 9th, 2014 at 11:36am - to be exact. He taught me to be a woman of faith. I grew up in church and have always felt I had a close relationship to Jesus, even if I didn't always follow the right path. Since my father passed, I've been struggling with going back to church and I'm really hoping that we can find a church that feels like a family. Pray for us!!

I have no idea where this blog is going to go or where it's going to take me or my family but I'm really excited to get started. I'm sure there will be a bit of everything: family, fashion, crafts, and whatever the world throws us.
